A Couple Extra Windows

After finishing up the framing, insulation and drywall, and getting started on the exterior siding, we all realized that something was missing.

Where would you stick a couple more windows in this wall, if you could?

It's not that the house looked bad, per se, but we all remembered back to the original plans where there had been a couple extra windows originally.  They should never have been taken out of the plan, turns out!

The final architect rendering put the extra couple windows back in.

So before we were done with siding, we all agreed to go for it and order the windows.

So one day Greg got the rough openings cut out of the wall and framed up.

Then the house sat like this for a little while.

And eventually the new windows arrived!

Annnnnd.... in.

Ahh, that's better.  Lots more light in the afternoon and a nice view of the cedar siding above the patio.
